As numerous international students seek Malaysia as their destination for studying, one body has to be responsible for the entry of those students to the country.

EMGS is the main portal responsible for that. In short, EMGS Malaysia Visa is your ticket to enter and live in Malaysia as a student.

What is EMGS?

Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is an agency that is owned by the Malaysian government.

EMGS is run by the Ministry of Higher Education to facilitate the process of international students to study in Malaysia.

EMGS guarantees the movement of international students into the country, as soon as the students secure an offer letter from a university in Malaysia, via a scheme referred to as EMGS Malaysia Visa.

EMGS Malaysia Visa plays the main role in starting the student visa procedure by issuing an Approval of Foreign Student Studying in Malaysia letter, also known as eVAL letter (electronic visa letter).

The letter is endorsed by Malaysian immigration to verify and complete the student visa application.

Know more about what an eVAL is and the importance of it in this article published by EMGS Connect .

How Can EMGS Malaysia Visa Help You?

EMGS is known to be a one-stop center for international students’ affairs. This is because EMGS coordinates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Health to obtain clearance about your study and stay in Malaysia.

The role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to ensure that your country of origin supports your exit from there and entry to Malaysia.

The role of the Ministry of Home Affairs is to coordinate with the Malaysian government to monitor your entry and stay in Malaysia.

The role of the Ministry of Health is to ensure that you obtain health insurance while staying in Malaysia.

As such, all of these roles are previewed and taken care of by EMGS to make your journey to Malaysia easier.
