In the first year, students will learn fundamental skills in Digital Advertising practices. They will be introduced to various modules that focus on developing their creative skills required in the field. These modules will cover areas such as marketing fundamentals and project management, which will help students in developing essential critical thinking skills necessary for Digital Advertising.
Moving into the second year, students will acquire a broader range of skills and a better understanding of traditional areas of Advertising practices, culture, and agency management. Additionally, they will delve into content creation practices, honing their skills in creative production for Digital Advertising through copywriting, film, and media planning. This level aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and enhance their creative abilities.
During the 16-week internship or industrial training, sprepare students for a smooth transition from the classroom to the working environment. It will provide them with practical exposure and real-world experience, allowing them to apply the knowledge and skills gained throughout their studies.
In the third year, students will utilize their previous studies and industrial experience to focus on the strategic and global perspectives of Digital Advertising. This level aims to groom students as leaders in the field by providing them with a deeper understanding of the industry. Special emphasis will be given to relevant future skill sets, such as Digital Advertising Analytics and Integrated Marketing Communications. This will enable students to fully encompass the requirements of the dynamic and ever-evolving global Digital Advertising industry.
Students who joined the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Digital Advertising at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates and transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year.
