Embark on a transformative journey with APU University Malaysia Bachelor's Bachelor Of Computer Science (Hons) Artificial Intelligence program. Explore a myriad of invaluable insights and skills, detailed below:
What you will learn in a glance?
In the first year, students will acquire fundamental skills required in the IT industry. They will develop a basic understanding of artificial intelligence techniques and algorithmic thinking. Specialized modules will introduce them to key concepts in computer systems, including computer architecture, operating systems, networks, and databases. Alongside technical knowledge, emphasis will be placed on fostering personal and organizational skills, as well as nurturing creativity and innovation.
Moving into the second year, students will build upon the foundation established in the first level and offer a broader range of skills. Students will gain a deeper understanding of artificial intelligence techniques such as machine learning, fuzzy logic, and natural language processing. They will explore techniques used in the development of complex software systems, specifically focusing on data acquisition through various sensors. This level also aims to further nurture their creativity, innovation, and independent learning abilities, preparing them for the dynamic workplace.
During the 16-week internship or industrial training, students will undertake practical training to facilitate a seamless transition from the classroom to the working environment. This hands-on experience will expose them to real-world challenges and provide opportunities to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional setting. The internship will enhance their practical understanding, develop their professional networks, and equip them with valuable workplace skills.
In the third year, students will leverage their previous studies and industrial experience to deepen their familiarity with intelligent systems and refine their personal and professional development. They will delve further into artificial intelligence design paradigms and algorithms, programming techniques, and statistical techniques relevant to artificial intelligence. A significant component of this level is the final year project, where students investigate and develop a solution for a real-world problem. This project will demonstrate their ability to integrate technical knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills, resulting in the creation of a personal achievement portfolio.
