Moving into the second year builds upon the foundational knowledge and delves into a broader range of skills in accounting and finance. Students will gain a deeper understanding of traditional areas such as management accounting, taxation, financial management, advanced corporate reporting, and forensic accounting. They will also develop technology savviness through modules like Emerging Technologies for Accounting and Finance and Data Analytics in Accounting and Finance. These skills will prepare students for independent learning, the workplace, and potential research opportunities.

During the 16-week internship or industrial training, students will undertake a minimum 16-week internship or industrial training. This internship experience is designed to facilitate a smooth transition from the classroom to the working environment. Students will gain hands-on experience, apply their knowledge, and develop valuable skills relevant to the accounting and finance industry.

In the third year, students will expand their understanding of finance and accounting through a sustainability-focused lens. They will explore the application of technologies and problem-solving skills, particularly after their internship experience. Modules such as Reflective Practice in Accounting & Finance and Robo Auditing & Analytics will introduce students to capstone projects and hands-on training with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) software. Students will also be exposed to the effects of decisions on the environment, society, and governance through modules such as Strategy, Sustainability, and Leadership, and Seminar in Accounting & Finance.
