What you will learn in a glance?

In the first year, students will gain a basic understanding of the context in which businesses operate. They will be introduced to various subjects such as management, law, accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Additionally, students will develop business and communication skills, computing and IT skills, quantitative skills, and independent learning capabilities. The first year of the program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in business management theories and practices.

Moving into the second year builds upon the foundational knowledge gained in the first year and exposes students to a more advanced curriculum. They will delve into subjects such as behavioral science, business ethics and governance, critical thinking in management, and creativity and innovation. Specialization areas in e-business management, e-commerce, and e-marketing will be offered. Students will also develop a deeper understanding of functional management in various areas and gain hands-on experience with industry-leading software supported by SAP. Independent learning will continue to be nurtured to prepare students for the workplace and further research.

During the 16-week internship or industrial training, students will undertake a minimum 16-week internship or industrial training. The purpose of this internship is to provide students with practical exposure and bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real working environment. It allows students to apply their knowledge and skills, gain industry experience, and enhance their professional skills, preparing them for a smooth transition into their future careers.

In the third year, students will leverage their previous studies and industrial experience to tackle practical and modern issues in the e-business ecosystem. They will delve into topics such as search engine optimization, e-business system operations, and more. Leadership and strategic management skills will be emphasized, aiming to groom students as business leaders. A final-year project will require students to explore a chosen topic individually, allowing them to demonstrate their academic and practical abilities in their area of study.

Dual Degrees from APU and DMU United Kindom

Students who joined the Bachelor (Hons) in Business Management with a specialism in E-Business at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates and transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year.
