Embark on a transformative journey with APU University Malaysia Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronic Engineering with Honours program. Explore a myriad of invaluable insights and skills, detailed below:
What you will learn in a glance?
In the first year of the Mechatronic Engineering program, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the basic principles of engineering. They will study topics such as Circuit Analysis, Engineering Materials, Instrumentation & Measurement, and Engineering Design. Additionally, modules focused on academic skills, IT principles, and entrepreneurship will be covered. Students will also develop important skills for managing activities and independent learning, setting the foundation for their engineering education.
Moving into the second, students will delve into modules such as Analogue Electronics, Digital Electronics, Introduction to Electrical Systems, Electromagnetic Field Theory, Engineering Software and Applications, Signals and Linear Systems, Strength of Materials, Robotics Technology, and Sensor and actuators. Engineering Mathematics will be introduced to enhance their understanding of the engineering modules and provide a solid mathematical foundation.
The 16-week internship or industrial training, this practical experience is designed to prepare students for a smooth transition from the classroom to the working environment. They will gain hands-on experience, develop industry-specific skills, and acquire valuable insights into real-world engineering practices.
In the third year, students will focus on specialized knowledge and skills in areas such as Control Engineering, Communication Engineering Principles, Microprocessor Systems and Embedded Software, Machine Design, Fluid Mechanics, Industrial Automation, and Machine Vision and intelligence. The curriculum emphasizes the application of engineering skills, critical thinking, and analysis. Independent learning remains an integral part of the learning process.
The final year of the program aims to enhance students' industry application and technological skills, making them well-prepared for employment upon graduation. Students will undergo personal and professional development, enhance their technical capabilities, and gain a deeper understanding of innovation, idea generation, and project management. They will deliver several Engineering Projects, demonstrating higher-level critical thinking, analysis, and solution development skills, ultimately enhancing their employability in the field of Mechatronic Engineering.
