Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Games Development — APU University Malaysia

A dynamic 3-year program that equips students with core programming, systems design, graphics, animation, and game-production skills. Year 1 builds technical foundations and creative, personal, and organizational abilities; Year 2 deepens game analysis, character modeling, special effects, and the full production lifecycle; a 16-week industrial training provides hands-on industry experience; Year 3 advances graphics and animation techniques and culminates in a final-year project solving a real-world problem. Optional APU–DMU dual degree available (additional GBP 375/year) for graduates seeking UK accreditation.

APU Game Lab & Studio

The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has opened a new Game Development Lab & Studio.
Designed like professional international studios, it supports APU’s industry-focused game development programs and Malaysia’s e-Sports Focus Centre role.
Equipped with high-performance workstations (RTX 5070 GPUs and Intel Core Ultra CPUs), it provides hands-on experience with industry tools.
Taught by lecturers with real-world experience and guided by a curriculum developed with leading studios like Larian Studios, it prepares graduates for game and immersive digital media careers, while visitors can explore gaming history in the Video Games Mini Museum.

APU Video Games Mini Museum

APU has unveiled Malaysia’s first university-curated, publicly accessible Video Games Mini Museum. The collection highlights landmark moments in gaming history, featuring consoles such as the Magnavox Odyssey—the world’s first commercially released home video game system—and the iconic Atari 2600 in its various forms. Visitors can also view a complete lineup of Nintendo hardware spanning generations from 1977 to 2006, along with classic game arcade exhibits.

More than a static display, the museum demonstrates APU’s dedication to combining historical insight, industry relevance, and hands-on learning. It gives students and the public an opportunity to explore the technological, cultural, and social development of video games.

Visit the Mini Museum to step back in time, revisit childhood memories, and trace the evolution of gaming innovation on APU’s world-class campus.
