What you will learn in a glance?

In the first year, students in the psychology program will acquire knowledge about the theoretical and conceptual framework of psychology as a discipline. They will develop a basic understanding of the practices and applications of psychology, both in general and within the context of the mental health industry. This level aims to provide students with a foundational knowledge of psychology and its practical implications.

Moving into the second year, builds upon the foundational knowledge acquired in Level 1. Students will develop a broader range of skills, including the ability to describe systematic knowledge of influences on psychological functioning and an understanding of the core areas of the discipline. They will learn how these areas interrelate and apply problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and scientific research skills to address complex issues in various fields of psychology. Additionally, students will demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and ethical behavior in the field. They will also develop sensitivity and appropriate reactions to contextual and interpersonal factors within social groups and teams, fostering cooperative and responsible contributions to team objectives.

During the 16-week internship or industrial training, This internship experience is designed to facilitate a smooth transition from the classroom to the working environment. It provides students with practical exposure to the field of psychology, allowing them to apply their knowledge and skills in a real-world setting.

In the third year, students will leverage their previous studies and industrial experience to specialize in specific areas of psychology through elective modules. They will critically analyze and monitor their own learning, transforming ideas into action plans. The final year project will require students to take a hands-on approach to different areas of psychology and apply the expertise and skills acquired from both the classroom and internship settings to their research project. They will also develop proficiency in using media and technology for psychological research. The successful completion of the final year project demonstrates the student's ability to combine psychological knowledge, communication skills, critical thinking, and analytical skills, resulting in a personal achievement portfolio.
