The Master of Finance program with a specialization in FinTech combines advanced financial knowledge with expertise in financial technology. Core courses cover financial theory, investment analysis, and risk management, while specialized coursework focuses on FinTech areas such as blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and algorithmic trading. Students who joined the Master of Finance with a specialism in FinTechn program at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates and transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year. • Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, or its equivalent qualification as accepted by the Senate.
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.75 can be accepted, subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant fields.
The programme comprises 1 pre-requisite module (for non-Computing students), 10 coursework modules and a Project.
The modules are designed to provide a solid understanding of financial principles and technology applications of those understanding to various aspects of the finance industry. The students are able to act autonomously in planning and implementing financial strategies.
