The Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) (Honours) program at Curtin University Malaysia focuses on the various aspects of environmental engineering in Malaysia, with specific areas of growth including water treatment, solid waste management (including industrial and hazardous waste management), and domestic and industrial wastewater treatment. Environmental engineers play a crucial role in safeguarding and managing natural resources, air quality, water resources, and land. They are in high demand for tasks such as conducting environmental impact assessments, preventing and controlling air pollution, implementing environmental monitoring and management systems, providing environmental consultations, implementing soil erosion prevention measures, monitoring and controlling noise pollution, developing recycling systems, and managing oil spill recovery. Graduates of this program are equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute to sustainable and responsible environmental practices in various industries and sectors.
