The Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counseling (Honours) program at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is designed to train undergraduates in the essential skills and knowledge needed for effective guidance and counseling in schools and other organizations. Graduates will be prepared to become licensed counselors, enabling them to fulfill their roles in educational settings under the Ministry of Education.
The program aims to produce qualified counselors for Malaysian schools, as well as mental health and community agencies, both governmental and non-governmental. Additionally, it seeks to address the growing demand for professional licensed counselors and to offer counseling programs that are imbued with Islamic values, aligning with the institution's commitment to nurturing ethical and responsible professionals in the field.
