The Bachelor of Science in Applied Plant Sciences (Honours) program at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) aims to cultivate skilled and knowledgeable graduates in plant science, anchored in Islamic values. This program is designed to meet the needs of both public and private sectors in areas such as teaching, research, and management.

The curriculum encompasses a wide range of engaging topics in both modern and conventional plant science. Students will explore subjects such as plant taxonomy and anatomy, ethnobotany, plant diversity and breeding, and plant chemistry. Additionally, the program covers cell and molecular biology, genetic engineering, plant-pathogen and environmental interactions, as well as plant physiology and ecology.

Through this comprehensive approach, students are equipped with the expertise needed to address contemporary challenges in plant science and contribute positively to society.
