The Doctor of Philosophy in Education (By Research) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) develops high‑level education professionals grounded in the principles and theories of Islamic education. The programme emphasises rigorous, original research and scholarly practice that translate Islamic educational concepts into effective pedagogy, curriculum development and policy. Graduates are prepared to lead in academia, educational leadership, research and consultancy, contributing to the advancement and improvement of education within local and global contexts.

* Note: The classes are conducted in two mediums; English and Arabic while thesis can be written in English or Arabic as well.*

Entry Requirements 

 • A relevant Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning.
