The Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Thought and Civilisation (By Research) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) develops scholars with advanced, integrated and critical expertise in Islamic intellectual and civilisational studies. The research‑led programme fosters high‑level analytical skills, scholarly rigour and professional attitudes required for original research and knowledge production. Graduates are prepared for roles as researchers, academics, trainers and consultants who apply context‑sensitive, interdisciplinary perspectives to address local and global challenges within the field of Islamic thought and civilisation.
