The Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science (By Research) program at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is tailored to meet the demands of the libraries and information industries for graduates who can create and interpret knowledge at the forefront of information and knowledge management. This program focuses on developing advanced research skills and producing high-quality, impactful research that addresses contemporary challenges in the field.
Students will explore a wide range of topics, including information retrieval, acquisition, and processing, while engaging in independent research that contributes to the expansion of knowledge in library and information science. Entry Requirements
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree (as specified in Rules No. 1.1.1. – 1.1.2.) and a Master’s degree from the IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning
