The Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science (Mixed Mode) program at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) aims to equip students with the skills necessary to meet the evolving needs of libraries and information industries. This program combines coursework and research, allowing students to delve deep into advanced topics in information and knowledge management while also conducting impactful research.
Students will engage with subjects such as information retrieval, acquisition, and processing, developing the ability to produce professional programs with specific outcomes. The mixed-mode format promotes a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects, preparing graduates to contribute significantly to the field and drive innovation in library and information science.
Entry Requirements
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree (as specified in Rules No. 1.1.1. – 1.1.2.) and a Master’s degree from the IIUM or any other accredited institution of higher learning
