The Master of Arts in Islamic Thought and Civilisation (Mixed Mode) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) equips graduates with rigorous, integrated knowledge, skills and professional attitudes necessary for scholarly and applied work in Islamic thought and civilisational studies. Delivered through a flexible mixed‑mode pathway combining supervised research and structured coursework, the programme prepares candidates to become researchers, educators, trainers, and consultants who can critically engage with both local and global contexts. Graduates are trained to undertake contextualised analysis, contribute to interdisciplinary scholarship, and apply Islamic civilisational perspectives to contemporary intellectual, educational and policy challenges.
