The Master of Education (By Research) at International Islamic University Maaysia (IIUM) is designed to elevate the professional qualifications and skills of teachers, administrators and counsellors, preparing them as instructors, facilitators, leaders and trainers in curriculum innovation, pedagogy, administration and career guidance. The programme emphasises the development and application of Islamic approaches to knowledge within contemporary social and cultural contexts, and seeks effective methods for teaching value‑laden content in real classroom settings. It trains Islamic‑oriented education professionals to understand the concepts and principles of Islamic education, to conduct research that identifies problems in current practice and proposes solutions or innovations at both macro and micro levels, and to implement and oversee these concepts and practices in educational institutions.

Entry Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate.
