The Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (By Coursework) at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is a professional programme that advances expertise in curriculum design, instructional strategies and classroom assessment. Through focused coursework and practical activities, the programme develops skills in curriculum planning, standards‑based instruction, pedagogical innovation, formative and summative assessment, and instructional leadership. Emphasis is placed on aligning curriculum with learner needs, integrating Islamic values where appropriate, and applying contemporary, research‑informed teaching approaches including technology‑enhanced learning.
Graduates are prepared to lead curriculum development, design effective instructional programmes, mentor and train teachers, and implement evidence‑based improvements in schools and educational organisations.
