The Master of Laws in International Laws at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) provides advanced, specialist training in international law to meet the growing complexity and demands of a globalised legal order. The programme offers comprehensive coverage of contemporary international legal issues—such as dispute settlement, international security, cyberspace governance, state jurisdiction and conflict of laws, international trade, maritime law, migration and climate‑related legal challenges—through a combination of core courses and specialised electives.
To allow focused expertise, candidates may specialise in one of the programme’s thematic tracks: Human Rights & Humanitarian Law, International Trade Law, Maritime Law, or Climate Change Policy Law. This structure equips graduates with the doctrinal knowledge, analytical skills and practical perspectives required for careers in academia, government, international organisations, law practice and policy‑making in an increasingly interconnected world.
• A bachelor’s degree in the field of related fields with minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent.
For other qualifications and certificates (e.g., qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, etc.), please contact our educational consultants or submit your application for admission assessment.
