The Master of Science in Islamic Banking and Finance (By Coursework) at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) is designed to provide a cooperative and flexible learning experience, combining efforts from the IIUM Academy and the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIIBF). Courses are offered in a modular format during weekends, accommodating the needs of executives and working adults to balance their professional and academic pursuits.
This interdisciplinary program exposes students to a wide range of topics in Islamic banking and finance, including Shari’ah principles, Islamic banking products and operations, accounting, risk management, takaful, Islamic capital markets, and wealth management.
As a key requirement for graduation, students must produce a research paper focused on a topic of their interest within the field of Islamic banking and finance, fostering a deeper understanding and practical application of their studies.
