MAHSA University’s Bachelor of Environmental Health and Safety (Hons) is a four-year undergraduate degree program designed to prepare students for careers in the management of health and safety within various environmental contexts, including pollution, temperature fluctuations, and waste disposal. In an era of global climate change, the ability to enhance community health and safety has become an invaluable qualification.

Students will explore a wide range of engaging subjects, such as the impact of the environment on human health and disease transmission; the use of safety equipment for environmental monitoring; industrial, commercial, and residential development; water supply and safety; food production and safety; occupational health and safety; and various forms of pollution, including air, water, soil, radiation, and noise. Additional topics include disease control, health surveillance and research, community health improvement and development, waste management, pest control, accident and disaster management, transport safety, risk management, compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and public relations.

Upon completing the program, students will be equipped to identify, assess, reduce, and eliminate risks in various potentially hazardous situations and environments. They will also be capable of effectively preventing and mitigating accidents and injuries in homes, workplaces, and other settings, while recommending strategies to protect the public from hazardous conditions.

Graduates of MAHSA University’s Bachelor of Environmental Health and Safety (Hons) degree will be empowered to contribute to making the world a safer place.

Entry Requirements  

STPM

• Matriculation/Pre-University/STPM or equivalent with minimum GPA 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:

  • Biology

  • Physics/Mathematics

  • Chemistry
