The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) is a four-year program developed in consultation with a panel of experts and approved by the Engineering Accreditation Council Malaysia (EAC) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Upon completing Semester 6, students will undertake industrial training. At the end of this training, students are required to submit a report, while the industry partners will evaluate and report on the students’ job performance. This industrial training is essential for accreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Council of the Board of Engineers Malaysia. It provides students with valuable real-world experience and knowledge in preparing reports on technical work and projects. The program equips students with advanced theoretical and practical skills while also introducing them to strategic planning and project management.

In the final year, students can choose from six elective modules. These elective modules impart essential industry-related technological skills that are highly beneficial for employment after graduation. Additionally, students will apply relevant engineering skills while enhancing their critical thinking, analytical abilities, and teamwork.

Thesis 1 allows students to engage in research and development with a focus on commercialization, while Thesis 2 emphasizes the academic and practical aspects of their chosen area of study and reinforces independent learning skills. This experience enables students to demonstrate advanced critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, all of which will enhance their employability.

STPM

  • Pass with min. Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in three (3) subjects including Mathematics and one (1) Science subject
