According to the World Bank, Islamic finance has emerged as an effective tool for financing development globally, including in non-Muslim countries. This sector is one of the fastest-growing segments of the financial industry in various regions, having achieved double-digit growth rates over the past decade despite global challenges. Its influence has expanded beyond traditional Islamic markets, establishing strong presences in banking, takaful (Islamic insurance), and capital markets.

Since 2008, Islamic banking has been growing at an estimated annual rate of 10-15% in non-Muslim countries like the USA, the UK, and France, serving as an ethical and sustainable alternative to conventional profit-driven banking systems. Year after year, the total assets of Islamic finance have consistently expanded, accompanied by more sophisticated products and an increasing number of countries, companies, and institutions participating in the industry.

The Bachelor of Science in Islamic Finance at MAHSA University is a 3.5-year program developed in collaboration with university partners. It aims to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable and skilled in Islamic finance but also demonstrate a high level of integrity along with sound social and personal qualities that will be valuable to their future organizations. Additionally, these graduates will exhibit leadership characteristics, striving to uphold the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah.

Entry Requirements  

STPM

• Pass with minimum Grade Jayyid and a pass in Maths. Pass in Arabic Language at SPM (excluded if Arabic Language is equal/higher at STPM/STAM/Matriculation/Diploma or equivalent).
  (Candidate without pass Arabic language at SPM/STPM/STAM/ Matriculation/Diploma or equivalent are required to undergo Arabic language enhancement course before beginning the programme.)
