Architectural technology is a relatively new discipline in Malaysia, characterized by the integration of science, engineering, and technology, and closely aligned with industry needs. MAHSA University is set to be the pioneering institution in Malaysia to offer a “Diploma in Architectural Technology” program that incorporates Building Information Modeling (BIM) and sustainability.

The industry is increasingly recognizing the importance of architectural technology as essential in the digital age, emphasizing the empirical digitalization of design and construction through BIM. This approach relates to production, performance, environmental sustainability, and economic efficiency. Consequently, the role of the Architectural Technologist has evolved from that of a "technician" to that of a "building specialist," contributing as expert designers with unique strengths in building performance, production, and processes.

As the construction industry moves forward, BIM and green technology will become essential tools for organizing and generating architectural technology information, enhancing efficiency and building management.

The program aims to equip students with advanced computer applications, hands-on training, and industry-relevant projects, preparing them to become competent architectural technicians, BIM modelers, and professionals in related fields. Additionally, graduates will have the opportunity to further their studies in a Bachelor of Architectural Technology or related disciplines.

Entry Requirements  

• SPM- Minimum 3 Cs (including Mathematics) and a Pass in English and Drawing subject.
