The School of Education and Social Sciences (SESS) and other faculties within SU have not previously offered a PhD in Social Sciences program, making this initiative highly relevant to our school. This program could serve as a pathway for postgraduate students following the completion of their master's degrees. Currently, our school offers six bachelor's programs and one master's program in education, which can effectively feed into this new doctoral program.

A PhD in Social Sciences encompasses a wide range of research areas within the social sciences, aligning with the disciplines mentioned above. Given the ongoing demand for advanced education in this field, this program would address significant educational needs. Moreover, obtaining a PhD in Social Sciences is essential for those aspiring to hold positions that require such qualifications.
