An MPhil is a research degree that requires the submission of a dissertation. An MPhil thesis should demonstrate a solid general understanding of the field, comprehensive knowledge of a specific aspect, and a recognizable original contribution to knowledge or understanding. Typically, an MPhil does not require an oral examination, and a full-time MPhil program is usually completed in two years.

Entry Requirements

An upper second class honours degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Non-UK qualifications will be assessed against this standard.
