Information systems are a vital component of an organization’s IT infrastructure. IT professionals who can effectively manage information resources and understand the technology and systems involved are essential to the success of modern enterprises.

This program is strategically designed to enable students to conduct information systems research that is both theoretically and methodologically sound, equipping them with the skills to plan, organize, and execute research studies at the master’s level. It deepens students' understanding of research within their chosen area and fosters skills in effectively communicating their research findings.

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a degree from Lancaster University, along with two certificates, recognizing them as graduates of both Sunway University and Lancaster University.

Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00

Candidates will have an opportunity to examine research designs with methodology as well as data analysis techniques employed by Information Systems researchers. At the end of this module, candidates will be expected to formulate and submit a proposal for research in an area of their own interest or specialisation.

This module will provide students with comprehensive reading lists and resources to help them develop research models and areas of interest. Literature review skills and training on how to manage information and resources will also be introduced in this module.
