The Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Information Security at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) is designed to equip students with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for a career in information security. 

The program covers critical areas such as network and internet security, information assurance and governance, system administration, and secure software development. Students will gain hands-on experience with various penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and forensics tools and techniques, learning how to prevent, detect, and defend an organization's assets from both internal and external threats.

Additionally, students have the opportunity to engage with the information security industry through a 5-month industrial training program, where they work on real-life projects relevant to information security domains. This practical experience enhances their qualifications and significantly boosts their employment opportunities and career development in the field.
