The Diploma in Information Technology program at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) is designed to provide students with the technical knowledge and skills necessary for information systems development. The curriculum includes courses such as Web and Mobile Systems, Web-Based Integrated Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Introduction to Cybersecurity, Introduction to Interface Design, Information Management, Cloud Computing for Business, and Fundamentals of Computer Networks. Additionally, foundational computer science courses covering problem-solving and programming, computer architecture, databases, systems analysis and design, and operating systems are also part of the program. Students will gain practical experience through 20 weeks of industrial training in relevant industries. Graduates will be prepared to effectively plan, implement, configure, and maintain an organization’s computing infrastructure, equipping them for successful careers in technology management and infrastructure planning.
