The Diploma in Quantity Surveying at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) equips students with essential knowledge and skills in Quantity Surveying practices. The program covers key areas such as:

  • Preparing project feasibility studies
  • Managing financial aspects of projects
  • Drafting tender and contract documents, including measuring construction works and pricing
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate procurement systems, contractual arrangements, and tendering methods that meet client needs regarding time, cost, quality, and legal considerations

Students also learn to advise on contractual issues based on general contract principles of Building Contracts and legal frameworks such as Contract Law, the Sale of Goods Act, and the Law of Tort. This comprehensive curriculum prepares graduates for successful careers in the construction and surveying industries.
