The Diploma in Nursing Program at UCSI University Malaysia offers a comprehensive education in both academic and clinical aspects of nursing. It focuses on providing compassionate care to patients with various health conditions and builds a strong foundation in basic sciences and nursing theories. Graduates are equipped with the skills to treat, rehabilitate, and educate patients, families, and communities. The program is recognized by the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), with a 100% passing rate for the MNB examinations.

Entry Requirements

  • O-Level: 5 credits with mandatory credits in Science, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics and a pass in Biology.
  • Malaysian students must possess a credit in Bahasa Melayu.

Future Careers

This programme prepares graduates for a broad spectrum of first-level practice roles in hospital and community health centres. It fosters a commitment to lifelong learning, critical reflective thinking and professional growth. The diploma is internationally recognised and allows graduates to work in any country, subject to registration requirements.

After three (3) years of work experience, graduates will be able to further develop professionally through the Bachelor of Nursing Programme, which will enable the nurses to pursue other expanded roles and different kinds of career opportunities.
