The Doctor of Philosophy (Music) program is a research-focused initiative providing a platform for extensive, self-directed exploration in the field of music. Candidates, guided by a team of supervisors, aim to contribute original insights to knowledge and society through the submission of a comprehensive written thesis. Emphasizing independent inquiry, the program covers diverse aspects of musicology, composition, and performance, preparing graduates to lead and innovate in academia, arts administration, and cultural institutions, thereby shaping the landscape of music scholarship and practice.

Entry Requirements

Candidates may be admitted into the programme by meeting all the academic, language, music or audition, and proposal requirements. Additional documentations such as prior experiences in the field and recommendation letters are required.
