The Bachelor of Accounting (BAcc) program at Universiti Malaya (UM) is recognized both nationally and internationally, holding accreditation under Schedule 1 of the Accountants Act 1967. Graduates of this program are eligible to register as members of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), provided they have three years of practical accounting experience, as outlined in Part IV of the Act.

The program is designed to equip students with both practical and conceptual understanding of accounting methods and techniques. It focuses on developing skills in leadership, ethical values, and an appreciation for the interdisciplinary connections related to accounting. The curriculum aims to prepare students for career advancement in both private and governmental accounting sectors.

Entry Requirements

STPM  

Passed the STPM with at least a CGPA of 3.30;

and

Obtained at least Grade B+ at the STPM level in three (3) of the following subjects:

  Accounting, Mathematics (M) ,Mathematics (T) , Economics, Business Studies, Physics, Chemistry
