The Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics program at Universiti Malaya UM is a newly established course that combines two fundamental biological sciences: microbiology and genetics This innovative program covers essential topics such as microbes and genes, inheritance and mutations, and the roles of bacteria, viruses, and other microbes in the environment and as pathogens

The program has garnered significant recognition, ranked 137th in the Best Global Universities for Microbiology and listed among the top 200 in the QS World Subject Rankings for Biological Sciences Additionally, it is the first of its kind in Malaysia, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the study of these critical fields and preparing graduates for diverse career opportunities in research, healthcare, and environmental sciences.

Entry Requirements

 - National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
