The Bachelor of Dance program at Universiti Malaya UM aims to produce graduates who are proficient and skilled in both the professional practice and academic study of dance Students engage with a variety of dance techniques including both Western and non-Western forms as well as choreography dance notation and dance education The program places particular emphasis on Malaysian dance providing a well-rounded multicultural and cross-cultural dance education at the tertiary level
The faculty consists of pioneers and experts in ethnochoreology modern and traditional choreography and dance education This diverse expertise enriches the learning experience and prepares students for various career opportunities in fields such as:

Students must complete a total of 127 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Dance. The programme is to be completed in three (3) academic years, including 6 Normal Semesters and 1 Special Semester.
