The Bachelor of Economics (BEc) program at Universiti Malaya (UM) is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in economic theory and knowledge while enhancing their critical and analytical skills. The curriculum includes both core and elective courses, aimed at producing graduates who possess both broad-based and specialized economic expertise.

Students have the opportunity to specialize in one of five areas:

• Applied Economics
• Financial Economics
• Development Studies
• Public Administration
• Applied Statistics and Analytics

This specialization system allows students to tailor their education to their interests and career goals, preparing them for various roles in the dynamic field of economics.

Entry Requirements

 - National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
