The Bachelor of Environmental Studies program at Universiti Malaya (UM) addresses the critical balance between development and environmental preservation. As development often comes at the cost of environmental degradation, this program aims to equip graduates with the skills to find a middle ground in this ongoing struggle.
Students will engage with interdisciplinary subjects, including biology, geology, policy studies, law, geography, religion, civil and chemical engineering, chemistry, economics, history, and sociology. This comprehensive approach allows them to study environmental issues holistically, fostering an analytical and functional perspective on the pressing environmental challenges faced by our world today.
- National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
