The Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies program at Universiti Malaya (UM) provides students with a comprehensive understanding of one of the world's most multifaceted cultures, histories, and political landscapes. With a civilization that spans thousands of years, China’s rich heritage is explored throughout the program.

Students will delve into various aspects of the Chinese community, including its language, culture, writing, literature, and historical context. The curriculum emphasizes two main areas: language and literature, along with socio-cultural studies, offering an expansive view of Chinese Studies. This program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to appreciate and engage with the complexities of Chinese civilization.

Entry Requirements

 - National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
