The Bachelor of Arts in Indian Studies program at Universiti Malaya (UM) is designed to explore the linguistics, literature, religious, and socio-cultural heritage of the Indian community, benefiting the nation as a whole. The program highlights the historical, socio-political, and economic dimensions of the Indian community in Malaysia.

Students will engage with a diverse range of subjects, including Tamil grammar and literature, while also delving into the intricacies of Indian culture and civilization. The program aims to expose students to the finer elements of Indian culture and values, fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding. Additionally, courses on Indian philosophy and ethics are included, equipping students with the insights needed to comprehend the Indian community and to effectively participate in society.

Entry Requirements

 - National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
