The Bachelor of East Asian Studies program at Universiti Malaya (UM) recognizes East Asia as a vital hub for international trade, driven by active international relations and dynamic economic development. The forces of globalization and economic integration in the region create significant trade opportunities and foster new relationships among countries.

The program offers a comprehensive education that integrates China Studies, Japan Studies, and Korea Studies. It emphasizes not only the economic and management aspects but also contemporary international relations, ensuring students gain a well-rounded understanding of the region. Additionally, the curriculum includes language studies of the three countries, enhancing students' proficiency and cultural insights.

Courses on the East Asia Province further enrich the program, providing students with knowledge and a deep understanding of the region's complexities and its importance in the global arena.

Entry Requirements

 - National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above.
