The Master of Mechanical Engineering program at the University of Southampton Malaysia is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to bring a product from its initial concept to the stages of design and manufacture. This 4-year master's program in Mechanical Engineering includes an industry placement, providing valuable practical experience and setting students on the path to becoming a chartered engineer. The curriculum covers essential areas such as mechanical design, structures, and materials, and allows students to select specialized topics based on their interests. Throughout the degree, project work offers opportunities to apply design skills to real-world problems. This integrated master's program also offers the flexibility to choose a specialist theme pathway for years 3 and 4 or continue with the generalized Mechanical Engineering theme. The general theme option allows students to select optional modules from the specialized courses offered in years 3 and 4, providing a well-rounded education in Mechanical Engineering.

Entry Requirement

• A-Level

ABC including A in Mathematics and B in Physics, with a pass in the Physics Practical (where it is separately endorsed)

• IB Diploma

Pass with 36 points overall, 18 points required at Higher Level, including 6 at Higher Level in Physics and 6 at Higher Level in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) or 7 at Higher Level in Mathematics (Applications and Interpretation)

• STPM

BBB, including Mathematics, Physics and other STEM subject
