The Bachelor of Game Development (Honours) at the University of Wollongong (UOW) focuses on the multifaceted processes, techniques, theories, and practices involved in creating video games. This program combines a diverse range of knowledge and skills, encompassing programming, psychology, artistic expression, and business strategies.
Game development is a collaborative effort that can range from individual projects to large teams in major studios. The curriculum integrates three core disciplines: Game Technology, Game Art, and Game Design. Depending on their chosen specialization, students will acquire skills in storytelling, player engagement, ideation, game mechanics, world building, programming, testing, pixel art, and concept art.
