The Intensive English Program at the University of Wollongong (UOW) is specifically designed to prepare students for academic success by helping them meet the English language entry requirements for diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs at UOW Malaysia.

This program focuses on developing essential skills in academic reading and writing, as well as listening and speaking, all within a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Students will also gain the confidence needed to take external English examinations.

To enhance their language acquisition and 21st-century skills, the program includes project-based learning. Through collaborative projects, students not only strengthen their communication abilities but also improve their problem-solving, time-management, and research-gathering skills using modern technological tools. This holistic approach empowers learners to become autonomous drivers of their educational and professional futures.

Entry Requirements

Students must take the English Placement Test, and based on their results, they will be advised to enroll in the appropriate level of the Intensive English Program.
