Doctor of Philosophy in Shariah and Halal Laws By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on in-depth exploration of the development and contemporary legal issues related to halal products. The program covers the formulation of halal laws, the evolution of fiqh and usul, and the management of fatwa concerning halal practices. 

It also examines Islamic legal principles, the administration of Islamic laws, and pertinent areas such as international trade laws, consumer protection, and product liability and safety regulations. 

This program stands out by emphasizing not only the sanctity of halal products but also the practical application of Islamic legal principles in modern business practices. Graduates will be equipped to conduct advanced research that addresses complex issues in halal law and contribute significantly to both academic discourse and industry practices in this specialized field.
