Master in Shariah and Halal Laws By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the development and contemporary legal issues surrounding halal products. This program encompasses the creation of halal product laws, the development of fiqh and usul, and the management of fatwa related to halal practices.
It also addresses Islamic
legal principles, the administration of Islamic laws, and relevant international trade laws, consumer protection laws, and product liability and safety laws. What distinguishes this field from other legal studies is its emphasis not only on the sanctity of halal products but also on the application of Islamic legal principles in modern business contexts.
This program prepares graduates to navigate the complexities of halal compliance and contribute to the evolving landscape of halal law.
• A Bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent, as accepted by the UPM Senate
