Master of Science in Social Gerontology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the social, economic, cultural, and political aspects of aging that impact the well-being of older adults. This program employs a multidisciplinary approach to understand the psycho-social processes of growing older and the socio-economic effects of aging on individuals, families, and society. 

Through research and development in this field, students contribute to shaping socio-economic policies, legislation, and programs that manage aging populations. Key areas of study include long-term care, social security, intergenerational relations, retirement, social inequality, gender and aging, and end-of-life issues.

Entry Requirements 

• A Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.750
