Master of Veterinary Science in Anatomy and Histology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the comprehensive study of macroscopic (gross), microscopic (histological), and developmental (embryological) anatomy. The program covers gross anatomy through regional, systemic, and clinical perspectives, while histology explores the microscopic examination of tissues using specialized staining techniques.
Embryology is also included, examining the development from embryo to fetus. This degree serves as a foundation for research into various fields, such as induced and naturally occurring diseases, toxicology, pharmacology, and innovative therapeutic strategies, including studies on natural products and cancer. The program emphasizes understanding the mechanisms of action of various compounds at tissue and cellular levels. A key strength of the research group lies in the development of synthetic compositions for bone repair and studies related to ruminant and avian diseases, equipping graduates with essential knowledge and skills for advanced veterinary practice and research.
