Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Technology By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on the integration of science and technology in contemporary agricultural production, aiming for stable and commercial practices. 

The program encompasses a broad range of topics, including molecular biology, agricultural genetic engineering, plant tissue culture, the application of microbes and biofertilizers, and plant-microbe interactions. 

Additionally, it explores advanced concepts such as controlled environments, automation in agriculture, information and communication technology, precision agriculture, remote sensing, and agricultural extension services. 

Through rigorous research, students will develop innovative solutions to address modern agricultural challenges, equipping them to make significant contributions to the field and pursue impactful careers in agriculture and related industries.

Entry Requirements 

• A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the UPM Senate.
