Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Production By Research Mode at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) focuses on sustainable production practices aimed at enhancing the efficiency of animal production systems. The program explores the management of both ruminant and non-ruminant livestock, emphasizing the production of clean, safe, nutritious, and high-quality food for consumers while promoting environmental conservation in animal husbandry.
A significant aspect of the program is production system analysis, which includes resource evaluation and farm economics. Research in this field integrates knowledge of animal production and health, covering entrepreneurship, infrastructure, management, farm mechanization, and the handling of animal products and waste.
Through extensive study and research, students will acquire the expertise needed to make valuable contributions to sustainable animal production practices.
